SAN DIEGO AMATEUR WINEMAKING SOCIETY
November 2001
Newsletter goes email! More than half of you should be reading this letter on your computer. The annual savings to the club by emailing out the newsletter is projected at over $200.00 when you figure in postage, copying, labels and time. (That's some good wine and cheese money!) For those of you who do not have an email account but maybe have a fax line and would be willing to have me fax you the newsletter, call Michelle (619) 443-2106, the machine has a business message but it's me!
Member news: I haven't heard all the news from the growers out there, but Lum and Pete's Vineyards in Ramona seemed to have produced a good harvest this year. Jennifer Buffington offered to take up the website at the last meeting. Ideally, the newsletter would be posted there, and a reminder with a link would be sent out to all the email addresses. What do you think?
Looking forward to seeing you soon. Please bring an appetizer to share, a bottle of wine for tasting, and a folding chair if you have one.

ABOUT THE SOCIETY
The objectives of the San Diego Winemaking Society are to foster a general interest in wines and to give Society members a means of exchanging information on winemaking methods, materials and equipment. Regular meetings are held at 7:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of odd numbered months. Meetings often consist of a short business session, a technical discussion or a speaker and wine tasting. A bulletin is mailed to Society members six times a year before each regular meeting, and information about SDAWS activities is available.
